Whether Felicity's back or not, Im still not happy about when they retired all those items. I bet they had no idea that people would be paying sometimes up to 200$ on an outfit when it was only 26 (or something close to that) when it was originally out. I would be perfectly happy with a Mattel Town Fair Dress!!!!! Ughhhhhhh. Weather the new stuff is cute or not, it's not stopping me from wanting the old items!

Nann - Talking about new stuff - Are you going to be making anything soon. I have a certain little someone with a B-Day coming up and she loves to dress Kit in That Lovely Blue Dress and coat set you made last year.

I really like the new Historical outfits! But so funny last year they gave outfits to Sam, Kit, and Molly with the Bathing suit theme. And again they have a theme for this year, and again the dolls picked for that theme are, Sam, Kit and Molly.

One thing you need to keep in mind, Mattel is a business, and they create what sells. Sam, Kit and Molly are the dolls that sell the most, so they get the most profit making these doll's dresses. But, I do agree, that they "should" make dresses for each of the dolls, even if it just limited quantity. I would love to see a new dress for Addy!

One thing that I really like about how Mattel, is that they include the shoes into the outfits! Once upon a time, a dress would cost $22, and the shoes would cost another $8. Now the entire outfit, with shoes is most likly $26, which I love!

Since Tori and my nieces collect first for Molly, Samantha, and Kit we have been lucky that new items have come out for those 3 so I know we shouldn't complain but... I wish the price was similar for each girl. It's hard to spend or for them to save around $50 for 2 girls and almost $100 for the other.

When the Mid-summer outfits came out did everyone except Kaya and Felicity get one? I wish they would release one for all of them. I do like the theme thing though. Maybe there will be new releases when AGPLA opens up.

Robin, Josefina did not get a mid-summer outfit, it was Addy's Flower Picking, Samantha Lawn Party , Kirsten Mid Summer, Kit's Reds Fan and Molly's Dude Ranch.

The last outfit Josefina had was the Weaving outfit, (I think in '02 or early '03) from the last set of short story books, and well, we all know what has happened with those, so now will she lose an outfit when she really doesn't have many to spare in the first place?

I really hope that she'll get some attention from AGPLA like others here have said.


editing to add that Diana might be getting Kit for her April bday, if so, then I'll at least order Kit's outfit and scooter for her after our move.

Has anyone else noticed that their three highest selling dolls are also the time eras closest to our own? Molly and Kit's world is more relatable to girls today say versus Felicity or Josefina's. That could have something to do with it. Which is interesting because as a kid (bach when there were only 4 girls) Molly was my least favorite because her time era was so similar to mine. I enjoyed Felicity and Kirsten the most because it was so different and interesting. Well then again, I also liked Felicity because I saw a lot of myself in her despite the distance in time era.

And while I understand Mattel is out to make money couldn't they alternate girls? Sam, Kit and Molly got new outfits last year why couldn't they do Josefina and Felicity this year to match their new mysteries?

While I know people feel Josifina and Kirsten are being cheated I still feel like Felicity needs more attention too. Her relaunch was a dissapointment and giving Elizabeth a new outfit doesn't make up for the years of trying to phase lissie out.

How do you know Felicity's relaunch was a disappointment? Don't you think the movie generated a lot of interest in Felicity? I really liked the movie and so did everyone I talked to about it. It seems like the Felicity items like Patriot and the stable were sold out for quite a bit of time and just now got back in stock. Doesn't that indicate that people are buying Felicity's items? I hope so because I would like to see more items made for the Colonial period. AG made some mistakes with the Felicity reintroduction. The dresses are too short and look too small. The clothes press doesn't seem to be good for storage. After all, who wants to hide their beautiful dolls inside a clothes press? And, it's not like a girl is going to carry her doll over to a friend's house inside that clothes press like she might with Molly or Samantha's trunk. The website doesn't even show clothes hanging up inside the clothes press in the pictures on the website. They want us to buy all these long gowns, but exactly how are we supposed to keep them looking nice without a decent trunk? [img]graemlins/hmmm.gif[/img]

I figure we don't have to buy it all at once. If you get a outfit or two each month you will we able to keep up with the new items. I still have not gotten the new Felicity and Elizabeth accessories. Figure I have lots of time before they retire them.

I heard somewhere that Molly's bike was coming back soon.

I also wish that Josefina would get a new dress or two. Maybe when they do a friends movie about Josefina she will get more stuff. One can only hope.
